Afternoon Tea with Ray

An event not to be missed...

Our wonderful supporters, Joe & Helen Sofra from Book City Shepparton, arranged to have the man who has been on our screens for over 30 years, Ray Martin, speak at an afternoon tea fundraising event for Evolve on Saturday 28 November. Over 170 people gathered at the beautiful function centre at the GV Hotel to enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea and listen to Ray speak on his career and his life, including a few stories from his latest book, Ray: Stories from my Life.

A wonderfully engaging speaker, Ray kept the room captivated for 45 minutes before signing books for attendees and chatting with the very excited group of ladies & gents lined up out to door for their chance to meet him. He also drew the raffle prizes for the day, with the Mars chocolates hampers obviously very appealing - many hundreds were raised by the raffle alone!

All proceeds raised from the day will be processed by United Way GV Community Fund and divided between Evolve and GV Health's Oncology Unit.
