The Evolution of Evolve

November 1st in 2010 marked an historic occasion in the annales of Evolve - it was when we officially became Evolve - Keeping Kids on Track!

Youth Enterprise Trust (YET) was established in Queensland in 1991 by Lloyd Hancock with the aim of developing personal and vocational skills in young people using the natural environment. Matt Pfahlert, who initially worked with Lloyd on this venture, moved to Victoria, and with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Appin Park-Wangaratta, established the similarly-aimed Youth Opportunity Program in 1993, later becoming Typo Station.

Both organisations have a long and colourful history leading up to the operational merge in 2010; you can read more about the history of the two organisations who are now Evolve below.
