Readjusting home after the five-week Typo Station experience can be challenging for the young men and his parents/guardians. Evolve's Community Support Workers acknowledge their role in supporting parents/guardians through the transition.

Evolve hosts a dinner for up to 30 parents four times a year. The dinner involves a sharing of stories about the residential experience by our Youth Workers and gives parents a chance to build support networks with families in similar circumstances to themselves. Evolve believes it is very important for families with young men experiencing difficulties to feel well supported and that they are not alone.

Supporting a parent/guardian dinner will help parents build a support network where they can share their highs and lows of raising young men who do not seem to fit a ‘normal’ mould.
